My Knetterijs friends and I designed a comic strip to lighten up the building site of the Groninger Forum. Our comic was the 8th and last in a series of huge comics visualizing changes in the inner city. Our comic depicts the opening of the Forum; in nine huge panels a parade of well-known and unknown Groningers is on its way to the Forum, such as athletes, Stadjers, artists and businessmen. Rushing through the parade is Alderman Paul de Rook on his way to the opening ceremony. Each panel depicts a different aspect of Groningen. My panel portrays the visual arts; from left to right you can see Sam Peeters, Willem Kolvoort, the Dutch Comic Strip Museum, NNT, H.N. Werkman, Paul de Rook, Johan Dijkstra, the Bison of Wladimir de Vries, the Groninger Museum and a student of Minerva Art Academy.
